Born in Edinburgh in 1953, Jack trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, between 1970-74. A nephew of Alberto Morrocco OBE,RSA, Jack's work shares many common influences with that of his late uncle-from Picasso, through the Scottish Colourists to Gilles-creating work which is at once cosmopolitan and yet distinctively Scottish.
Continuously fascinated by his recurring figurative and still life subjects, Jack's paintings display his own unique signature style through a charismatic bold palette, and broad, sensuous use of paint.
Jack was a founder member of the Dundee Group of Artists, and returned to full-time painting in the nineties after establishing a successful business career. His work is exhibited with prominent galleries throughout the UK,USA and France, where it is enthusiastically collected, and can now be found in many Corporate and Private Collections worldwide.
