Ian Johnstone died after a short illness on the 12th October, 2009. He was fifty two years old.
With his sudden and unexpected passing, the Scottish art world lost a talented landscape painter and a gracious, principled and generous man.
Ian S. Johnstone – Scottish Landscape Artist allows us an opportunity to pay tribute to Ian and his remarkable passion for the landscape. This exhibition was organised with the cooperation of Ian’s family, and includes 18 paintings which are offered for sale, some of which have never been shown previously. In addition, we are pleased to include a selection of works by John Bell and Jonathan Mitchell.
