James Somerville Lindsay | Feature Exhibition

Eduardo Alessandro Studios is pleased to present a new exhibition of paintings by James Somerville Lindsay, featuring fifteen recent works that continue the artist’s distinctive exploration of Mediterranean life.

In this latest collection, Lindsay returns to the sunlit landscapes of the South of France, Italy, and Greece—regions that have long informed his visual language. His compositions capture the warmth and rhythm of these places: colourful streets, glowing under late afternoon light, quiet harbours edged with fishing boats, and winding streets that open onto expansive coastal views.

Working in his signature style, Lindsay balances structure and atmosphere with a confident use of colour and texture. Each painting evokes not only a sense of place but also a mood—moments suspended between stillness and movement, where light and shadow shape both memory and imagination.
