Born in Malawi in 1962, but raised in Scotland, Alan studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. graduating in 1984

Making reference to many of the art world’s greatest icons, Alan’s work adapts from the Northern European school of the 18th century, using a palette and technique reminiscent of the Flemish and Dutch masters Aligned to the subversive humour of a true modernist, he creates work which is technically supreme and memorably distinctive.

He has staged several highly successful solo exhibitions in London, Holland and New York, and is represented in public, private and corporate collections worldwide, including: EMI London, Corinthia Hotel London, Kayley Hong Kong, WorldCom UK, Old Mutual London, Artemis Artforms Leeds, The Prudential London, Ampersand Hotel London, Scion Los Angeles.
