Anne Morrison

ANNE MORRISON

Anne is one of the most respected and recognisable ceramicists working in Scotland today. She is the niece of Joan Eardley (1921-1963), the painter most responsible for bringing artistic focus and attention to the Kincardineshire fishing village of Catterline.

We are delighted to exhibit this collection of new work by Anne which pays tribute to Catterline and the Scottish shoreline.

Anne Morrison trained in ceramics at Glasgow School of Art. She creates unique and distinctive studio pottery and is especially renowned for her elegant white ‘crackleware’ pieces.

During the past few years Anne has moved into more sculptural work developing the use of ‘found objects’ especially driftwood collected while beachcombing along the Firth of Clyde.
