Dundee-based Carol McEwan is inspired by rugged Scottish landscapes and creates giclée art prints from her original photographs, using digital collage techniques.
Original photographs are layered with abstract textures, colours and brush strokes to create more mood and atmosphere.
“In my previous life as a fashion designer, I lived all over England and often travelled abroad. I would get homesick for Scotland, so every time I went back home, I’d take photographs of the scenery I missed so much. I created my first print from one of these photos, Broughty Ferry Beach, to remind me of the Dundee seaside.”
