Fiona Haddow

Fiona Haddow has always worked in visual media, starting out as an exhibition designer at Glasgow City Council, in the last 10 years she has returned to and launched a firm career in painting. Adopting a style that marries form and caricature, Fiona has very quickly put her stamp on the Scottish art world.

Known primarily for her stags, pheasants and appropriately Scottish coos, Fiona’s work is brimming with personality- and the same applies to her landscapes, these too carry the mark of her distinctive style and character. Bold in colour and composition, Fiona’s paintings are guaranteed to make you stop and take notice.

There is a spontaneity and quickness to Fiona’s painting style, which comes with working in acrylics. Particularly her Highland landscapes recommend her painterly technique, when placed alongside the more graphic form of her stags, a true representation of Fiona’s characteristic style can be seen. Both examples pour character from the canvas. Fiona is a respected member of the Dundee Art Society.
