Gordon Barker

Born 1960 in Gibraltar, Gordon was raised in Northamptonshire, and now lives in Devon. Painting from a young age, Gordon has developed a playful and recognisable style and has become well known for his vibrant and imaginative observations of everyday life.

From his first sale in 1983 to a recording company in Milton Keynes, Gordon’s works have found their way into many corporate and private collections worldwide.

He describes his paintings as ‘Busy stories’ and hopes they appeal to children and adults, fuelling the imagination and stimulating happy memories.

‘I want people to enjoy my art and discover things in my paintings that connect with their life and are personal to them.
I almost always paint a cat in my pictures – but sometimes you will have to look hard to find them!’
