Hanna Kaciniel
Hanna Kaciniel Was born in 1978 in the small village of Koczala in the north of Poland 115km South West of the regional capital and Poland’s principal seaport Gdansk.
As a young child her Grandfather spent time with Hanna, teaching her how to draw, not knowing that his actions would bring her to where she is today. Hanna studied in Koszalin, a provincial Art School where she moved to at the age of 15, Koszalin offered her a broad-based 5 year course that included art history, economics and intensive art-based content. It would give her the foundation of her art career. She came to Scotland in 2005 and fell in love with Scotland’s beauty. Since then she has worked as a portrait and landscape artist until finding that her hyper realist style was best suited to still life, a style that utilizes a multi-layered process, building up over time to achieve a high level of detail in her works.
Hanna brings a modern twist to still life through her use of colour and her choice of subjects which has enabled her to develop a unique style. Still life that mirrors modern society and culture. Her preferred medium is oil on canvas and her work can be found in galleries and private collections internationally.
