Lesley McKenzie
Born in Aberdeen 1967, Lesley trained and worked as a graphic artist, whilst simultaneously developing her skills as a painter and woodcarver. Her paintings show a strong, surrealist style, and depict idealistic, carefree images which are inspired by the colours and shapes found within the North East landscape.
Since 2000, Lesley has become equally will known for her sculpture, and has created many original models for the renowned Border Fine Arts range of agricultural figurines. She now creates unique raku fired ceramics, of animals, which have gained her a reputation as one of the leading figurative ceramicists in Scotland, and also works with scrap metal.
