Samantha McCubbin

Samantha has developed an experimental approach to painting, cultivating a spontaneity that is built on instinctive brush strokes. Making work for her, ‘is about experimentation and happy accidents.’

Mainly investigating florals and landscapes in her practice, Samantha weaves together the artistic elements of colour, texture, line, and shape, pulling images from her imagination, as well as studies of life seen in her studio.

Samantha studied Art and Design at the University of Leeds, and now works from her studio in Glasgow’s East end.
