Born in Edinburgh, 1953, Jack trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee between 1970-74. A nephew of Alberto Morrocco OBE, RSA, Jack’s work shares many common influences with that of his late uncle – from Picasso, through the Scottish Colourists to Gilles – creating work which is at once cosmopolitan and yet distinctively Scottish.
Continuously fascinated by his recurring figurative and still life subjects, Jack’s paintings display his own unique signature style through a characteristic bold palette, and broad, sensuous use of paint.
Jack was a founder member of the Dundee Group of Artists, and returned to full-time painting in the nineties after establishing a successful business career. His work is exhibited with prominent galleries throughout the UK, USA and France, and can now be found in many Corporate and Private Collections worldwide.
