Christine Gupta

Christine Gupta is a self-taught artist living in Edinburgh. She started painting in 2014 and primarily takes inspiration from the landscape, including the everchanging sea and sky of Scotland.

Working in acrylic using brushes, palette knives, sponges, and even odd bits of stuff from the garden, Christine adopts a diverse approach to painting which allows her to explore different styles. She is also interested in portraiture and has recently adopted a looser approach with her ‘Faces’ series, experimenting with colour and texture.

Christine’s work hangs in private collections in the US, Denmark, Spain, Dubai, Australia, Hong Kong and throughout the UK.
