Emma Mclachlan
Emma Mclachlan is a contemporary Scottish artist who grew up in Troon where she was influenced by the landscape, painting scenes of the golf course and seascapes looking out towards Arran. Emma then became inspired by the movement and architecture of cities. Absorbing the busy scenes they presented and capturing the movement of people going about their daily life.
Painting mainly in oils, Emma layers the paint gradually to build up vibrancy and depth to each work. She incorporates interesting perspectives and techniques, to capture a fresh and contemporary feel.
After training to professionally frame she now enjoys the process of selecting the right style of frames to further help convey a depth to her paintings and draw your eyes in to the scene.
Emma is a member of the Society of Scottish Artists and her work is exhibited at various locations in the UK.
